2 Dual Credit Events First Time Dual Credit PARENT Meeting
Monday, January 22nd from 6-7 pm LGI (RM 1253) Info will be posted to Mrs. Nichols website after the meeting First Time Dual Credit MANDATORY STUDENT Meetings (Students only please) Tuesday, January 30th OR Wednesday, January 31st 6:45 am OR 2:45 pm Students only attend ONE session

3 Calculus Dual Credit Testing Options – Compass is no longer an option
TSI & Accuplacer Must qualify to College Algebra level on TSI, then take Accuplacer to qualify to calculus level SAT March and May testing options ACT February (late registration) and April options

Cougar Corner meetings with 10th grade through World History classes in January Lunch ‘n Learn sessions in April – Preparing for the junior year Upcoming PSAT in October 2018 – National Merit Qualifying test Create a College Board account and link to Khan Academy for test prep Official Rank/GPA released in August 2018 –encourage your student to work hard this semester!

6 Spring 2018 Junior Lunch ‘n Learn Sessions
Encourage your students to attend sessions this spring! What is all of the testing really about???  (SAT/ACT/TSI) What’s the college application really made of? A closer look into submitting a great application. I have no idea what I want to study! Help! Tips on choosing a college major. It’s so much more than taking “just the basics”! How am I going to pay for college???  Financial Aid & Scholarships Military Options - Is joining right for me?  The military can help you pay for college! The 411 on transferring from a community college to a university.

7 TISD Service Cord Students are able to earn a cord to wear at graduation by completing service hours. To earn the cord students in the class of 2019 and beyond must complete 160 hours by April 1st of their senior year. Hours must be logged for approval by March 1st. 8 Mock SAT THS Renaissance is offering a Mock SAT for students Saturday, April 7th $20 Held at Tomball High School Registration information to come in March
