1. DIRECTIONS:
1. Click Enable Editing in the yellow bar above.
2. Right-click (mountain picture behind these Directions),
3. Save As Picture to your Communication Systems folder
4. Name it: Mountain Background
5. Open this image in Photoshop and edit the size (see next slide)

2. 6. Start Photoshop
File - Open Mountain Background image you just saved from last slide.
7. Cropping tool
Options Bar on top
Width 600 px - Height 150 px
Frame as shown here
(click and drag inside the frame to move it)
Checkmark to confirm on top-right side of screen when finished framing.
Save

3. 9. Open Animate
Create New
HTML5 Canvas
10. Click Edit button in the Properties box on the right side of the screen.
11. Change Stage Dimensions to
600 (width) x 150 (height)
12. Change Frames Per Second (FPS) to 12.00

4. 13. Main Menu – File - Import
Import to Stage
Browse for the Mountain background you made in Photoshop

5. STAGE
14. If the image is bigger than the Stage (white box), click the image and change the width and height in the Properties box on the right side.
15. Move the image to cover the white background

6. 16. Rename Layer 1: Background
17. Click in frame 50 on the Timeline
Press F5 key

7. 18. Add a new layer
19. Rename it: Title
20. Click in frame 1 on Title Layer

8. Text Tool – type the title as shown above –
Thick font (your choice), Color your choice, Size
Place it above the background image (gray area outside the Stage)
Use the Selection tool (black arrow) to move it

9. 22. Right-click on the text,
Create Motion Tween
23. Move the Scrubber to frame 50
24. Move the text to the bottom of the stage

10. 25. Add another layer, Name it “Sun”
25. Add another layer, Name it “Sun”. Draw a yellow Circle above the Stage, Size 50 x 50, Create Motion Tween as shown
26. Highlight frame 70 in all layers
Press F5 key
27. Test it (Ctrl-Enter)
Export as an Animated GIF
Save as Webpage Header
