2 AIRCRAFT TECHNICAL RECORDS
IcarusMRO AIRCRAFT TECHNICAL RECORDS IcarusMRO is an affordable Microsoft Windows multi-user database for assessing aircraft airworthiness and maintenance requirements; tracking parts costs and bringing together budgeting information using historical data. Bring operational data together to a single point of information for budgeting, management decisions, heavy maintenance scheduling, and day to day AC maintenance demands. Project, plan, provision for and monitor AC status including heavy maintenance. Please note: although this program will work for you out of the box, we specialize in customizing our versions to fit your needs and work flow; not only do we make it affordable, it’s the right thing to do. 3 Technical Records IcarusMRO Tracks Aircraft Records.
AD’s, SB’s, EO, SL, etc. Aircraft Inspections Components Cost Discrepancies DMI/Non Routine Cards Man-hours Services Task Cards The Icarus Group © 2008

4 Technical Records IcarusMRO Tracks Electronic Documentation
Attach any number of files, documents, drawings, and pictures to AC inspections and task cards. Print work card plus attached documents anytime. Eliminates need to photocopy task cards each time. Allow system to create work package including manufacturer / airline cards. Selectively print due items from list. Scan documents manually or use CD-rom (MSG*-3). *Maintenance Steering Group The Icarus Group © 2008

5 Technical Records IcarusMRO Tracks Work orders.
Capture costs associated with AC maintenance. Man-hours and rate. Part cost (new, overhauled, serviceable) See what categories are being charged. Corrective action Labor Parts Non-routine The Icarus Group © 2008

6 Technical Records Track, project and comply with
AD/SB’s, SL’s, EO’s, etc. Component servicing. Inspections. Task Cards – Letter checks. TBO & Life Limited Parts. Control by Major Component or Assembly Airframe, Engine, APU, Rotor head, etc. The Icarus Group © 2008

7 Technical Records Aircraft – Major Components Airframe, Engine(s), APU
Parts Services Inspections AD/SB Task Cards The Icarus Group © 2008

8 Technical Records Parts Rotables (tracked)
By part number and serial number which cannot be duplicated. May be “on condition” but tracked for a service. Condition at install may be new, serviceable, or overhauled. Part with a TBO must have a TSO. Part with a Life Limit must have a TSN. Tracked by: Hrs, Ldgs/Cycles, Months, Days. The Icarus Group © 2008

9 Technical Records Services Attached to a specific part (PN/SN)
Letter designations are used to denote a service. Most frequently occurring service starts with “A”. Services apply to parts on aircraft. System prompts for updating service last done when reinstalling part on aircraft. Part may be on condition and have a service. Tracked by: Hrs, Ldgs/Cycles, Months, Days. The Icarus Group © 2008

10 Technical Records Inspections Applied To Major Components
Loaded on airframe, engines, APU. Consists of “letter” checks, e.g. 1A...4A, B’s, & C’s May include any item that applies to the major component as a whole, not part/serial specific. May adjust to accommodate early compliance. Attach Boeing card(s) as .pdf or .doc, etc. Tracked by: Hrs, Ldgs/Cycles, Months, Days. The Icarus Group © 2008

11 Technical Records AD/SB’s, SSID’s, Technical Records Letters...
Applied To Major Components Loaded on airframe, engines, APU. Consists of predefined prefix from reference list and the “item” number, e.g. AD , EO Allows threshold to establish must do by criteria. May adjust to accommodate early compliance. Tracked by: Hrs, Ldgs/Cycles, Months, Days. The Icarus Group © 2008

12 Technical Records Track DMI / Non-routine Cards MEL & Non-MEL.
MEL Category Calculates Due Date (optional). By ATA Chapter and sub chapter. Input man-hrs at completion. Request part(s) for DMI. The Icarus Group © 2008

13 Technical Records Task Cards Applied To Major Components
Loaded on the airframe. Consists of “task card” and “maintenance reference” number. Allows threshold to establish “must do by” criteria. May adjust to accommodate early compliance. Attach Boeing card(s) as .pdf or .doc, etc. Tracked by: Hrs, Ldgs/Cycles, Months, Days. The Icarus Group © 2008

14 Technical Records Adjustments
Used With AD/SB’s, Inspections, Task Cards Designed to allow early completion and still stay within frequency. Tracked by: Hrs, Ldgs/Cycles, Months, Days. The Icarus Group © 2008

15 Technical Records Threshold Used With AD/SB’s, Inspections, Task Cards
Designed to mandate must comply with by stated frequency. After which TBO controls item due at. Tracked by: Hrs, Ldgs/Cycles, Months, Days. The Icarus Group © 2008

16 Technical Records Aircraft Times Update After Each Flight
Designed to accept flight hours and landing/cycles by date of flight. May be entered as a total for the day or individually by each flight leg. Errors may be corrected by entering a minus xx (hrs, landings/cycles) onto same aircraft using current date. The Icarus Group © 2008

17 Technical Records Due List Determines Items Due By User Criteria
Criteria includes start date (last date AC times updated) to some date in the future. Within date parameter, total number of flight hours and landings/cycles. System calculates due off and approximate calendar date given average number of projected flight hours, landings/cycles divided by 24 hrs. APU may be set for ratio of Flt. Hrs. & Ldgs/Cycles The Icarus Group © 2008

18 Technical Records Transaction Approval
Designed For Quality Control Review For parts added to a major component. May review part times, last done, cost, etc., before adding record to log book. If transaction is disapproved, the pending Part On action is canceled. Cost may be Purchase, Repair, or Overhaul; not mandatory. The Icarus Group © 2008

19 Technical Records Discrepancy Also Known As DMI or NRC
Two categories, MEL and non-MEL. The Icarus Group © 2008

20 Technical Records Major Component Change Changes Major Components
On the same aircraft or between aircraft. Swap engines or APU’s or other major components. Take an engine off for maintenance. Put it on the VIRTUAL AIRCRAFT. Virtual Aircraft have no times and cannot be updated. The Icarus Group © 2008

21 Technical Records Work Orders Opened Against AC Registration
Can apply any action on aircraft to a work order. Component add / remove. Compliance with part services, inspections, AD/SB’s, task cards. DMI opening and closing. Report can be selected by type or category of entry. The Icarus Group © 2008

22 Technical Records Task Cards Include Manufacturer Documentation
May be in .doc, .pdf, .xls, .txt, etc., format. Need to setup aircraft type to documentation relationship prior to loading on aircraft. Tied together in the Master Catalog. The Icarus Group © 2008

23 Technical Records One of several graphs included in IcarusMRO.

24 Technical Records System Requirements
A computer network of some kind if multi-user capabilities are desired. Microsoft XP and Access ( ) on each station. Program requires user login and password which is setup to allow or deny access to system functions, e.g. VIEW ONLY. Comes with a multitude of reports, all which can be customized.
