Raise hand for permission to leave seat Listen and follow directions immediately Give 100% at all times Have Fun Learning

3 Teacher’s Expectations: Students are expected to:
Follow classroom and school rules at all times (classroom/class time is not appropriate for debates) complete classwork and homework to master Georgia Standards of Excellence Do what it takes to meet high expectations Exhibit academic integrity (no cheating) Be prepared and come to class on time Know there will be consequences for not following expectations

4 Teacher’s Expectations cont.: Students are expected to:
Give 100 percent at all times Follow the Golden Rule Be prepared to redo assignments that are not completed according to expectations Complete missing assignments when absent NO GUM NO FOOD NO DRINKS (WATER IS A DRINK)

5 Phone and other technology Usage
In Class Expectations Consequences Phone must be placed in your pocket or purse Teacher will inform students when the BYOT is required during instruction Warning Teacher will collect phone Phone call home If there is a consistent issues you will have to provide your phone upon entering the class for teacher to return at the end of class Administration

6 CLASS ENTRY Enter quietly and report to your assigned seat
Get out your notebook Begin your Do Now assignment by reading and following instructions If Tardy: sign in, Be seated Begin working with Class on current Assignment/activity

7 Do Now Assignment Procedure
You will have 3-5 minutes/ Stay quiet & work independently Read the board/handout for instructions (Teacher will not answer questions during this time) Use your notes, book, and or critical thinking skills to answer Put in correct section of notebook with appropriate heading Title & Date Answer in complete sentences providing information regarding the question being asked Make an educated guess if you are unable to determine the answer. (You will not receive credit for questions without an attempted answer)

8 Talking in Class Use appropriate language
Must be about the current lesson Raise hand for permission to ask questions or add ideas Wait for acknowledgement from teacher Write other questions with your name and date and place in parking lot Use appropriate language Cursing will not be tolerated

9 Turning in Work Follow directions, teacher model, and examples in order to receive full credit Write your Name, Title, Date, Class Period at top Turn in Assignment in correct area/tray Begin Next Assignment

10 Written Work Complete missing work and show your understanding by
Rephrasing ideas in your own words If answers are the result of group work, put the ideas in different words to make it your own Any work that is not in your own words will result in an equal division of the points to include all parties If

11 Missing Work Complete make-up work form
If you miss class you are expected to go to the appropriate website to get missing work. The number of days given to complete each assignment will be provided based on the assignment. You will receive a 0 if the assignment is not completed within the time frame provided. If you have questions regarding the assignments or need to pick up a handout, you must see teacher after school or during tutoring hours

12 Late Work Its better to turn in work late than not at all
Some assignments will not be accepted late Points will be taken off for late work Late work must be turned in a week before progress reports or report cards Late work will only be accepted if we are still on the unit If you have ISS or are suspended, you are expected to turn in work on time

13 KEEP IN MIND….

14 Passes out of class Each student will receive two passes per quarter
If you have to leave the class for any reason, fill out the appropriate sections of the pass that has been provided to you by the teacher Upon returning to the class, you will give the teacher your pass Once all your passes have been used, you will not be allowed to leave the class; NO EXCEPTIONS (YOU are not allowed to use another student’s pass)

16 Lock Down School Lockdown Follow teacher’s directions Stay quiet
Stay away from windows & door Do not open the door for anyone

17 Consequences Warning Parent Phone Call & Student Reflection
