In 1821, they came together in Lima to liberate the rest of the Latin American countries Liberated Mexico and most of Central America By 1825, most of Latin America had been freed Britain wanted to control Latin America so they wanted America to join them. Madison did not trust Britain so he gave them all freedom in 1823 and protected them from any European attacks The Revolt of Latin America

4 For 400 years the Greeks had been controlled by the Ottoman Turks
Other countries pitied Greece and declared war on the Ottoman Empire The Treaty of Adrianople in 1829 ended the Russian-Turkish war In 1830, France, Britain, and Russia declared that Greece should be independent The Greek Revolt

5 In Spain Ferdinand VII restored the Bourbon Dynasty in 1814
He had agreed to observe the legal constitution of 1812 which allowed an elected Parliament known as Cortes The king soon ripped up the constitution and persecuted the Cortes which led a combined group of army officers, and others to revolt The king surrendered in 1820 and promised to restore the constitution and the Cortes Because of the Policy of Intervention a French army moved into Spain in 1823 and kicked the revolutionary government out and restored the king Intervention of Spain
