5. School Mental Health Advisory
Statewide committee with broad representation
Purpose:
Advise State Board of Education on unmet needs in school mental health
Coordinate with legislators and stakeholders to effectively address the mental health needs of students
Coordinate statewide collaborative social emotional character development partnerships with stakeholders that will benefit students
Immediate focus on developing more quality SMH resources for school districts, including enhanced resources for mandated trainings

Focus on scaling up the school capacity to effectively meet the mental health needs of students
Implement evidence-based, multi-tier, trauma-informed mental health interventions
