Organize at least 2 networking activities per year These 2 activities need to be approved by the local KnowledgeNet Chairs Assist local KnowledgeNet Chairs as needed Serve a 1 year term iapp.org

6 Steps for Planning your Activity
Choose the type of networking activity - Coffee Chat or Happy Hour Select location, date and time Confirm dates with your KnowledgeNet Chapter Chairs Fill out the Networking Activity Details form and send to the IAPP 4 weeks in advance iapp.org

7 Steps for Planning (cont’d)
The IAPP will list the event on the website and send out an invitation to members Please forward the invitation to your networks! The IAPP will send name badges and other materials if requested On the day of the event, arrive early and get a general headcount Take pictures and send them to us! iapp.org

All who plan on attending must register through the IAPP Who pays for drinks? Attendees are responsible for their own expenses If you find an organization to cover apps or drinks, let us know and we’ll thank them in the invitation Does hosting a Privacy After Hours event count towards my 2 activities per year?
