1 JCAD LACHS 5 Insurance Management System
Date: 3rd November 2017 Damian Crawford, Managing Director Hello I’m Tim Crawford, Head of Operations at JCAD, and this is Damian, MD. I’d like to thank you for inviting us to this SEERPIC meeting and providing us with the opportunity of demonstrating how JCAD can help SEERPIC to achieve its objectives regarding the handling and management of insurance claims. We’d like to structure the meeting by firstly showing a few slides, then presenting the new LACHS system to you. There will be an opportunity to ask questions at the end but feel free to interject with any questions as we go along.

2 JCAD LACHS 5: Insurance management software
Ground up development over the past 4 years Provides the development framework for the future Desktop, web, cloud New ideas and streamline working practices Increase productivity, save costs The software has been re-built from the ground up, providing a state-of-the-art tool for claims handling professionals. Taking a team of 6 developers over a 3 years to complete, the result is a claims handling system that is user- friendly and which boasts the freshest features on the market today. We’ve built in a range of features and improvements to benefit claims managers and handlers, based on feature request over the past few years. I’ve highlighted some of them here: Management dashboards which will highlight growth in risk factors. For example, if there is an increase in climase volume at a particular location you can drill down to identify the causes of those claims and reduce risk exposure.

3 Better working – claims handling efficiencies
Increased claims handlers efficiencies Interactive handler dashboards Document & handling, image processing Task lists with image previewers Custom workflows Floating editors Extended custom fields Version 5 – Claims Handlers Efficiencies To improve claims handler performance we’ve provided interactive dashboards which give a heads-up display of outstanding handler tasks by category, period etc., numbers of tasks completed, number of claims closed/amended by period, etc. We’ve introduced previews into the task lists so that you can view a files (document, image, video etc.) without opening up the file. An a number of other features as you can see there such as staged workflows (where one stage of the process must be completed before moving on to another, floating editors (so that you can pop a window ( ) out and carry on working on the system, and extending custom fields (100 fields for claims and claimants) to deal with PVIR data.
