Superimposed Boundary: imposed by an outside force. Ex: Israel, Yugoslavia, 1880s Africa
Subsequent Boundary: created after cultural landscape developed. Ex: Ireland & N. Ireland
Antecedent Boundary: created before cultural landscape developed. Ex: Louisiana Purchase
Relict Boundary: boundary doesn’t exist, but can still be felt/seen. Ex: Berlin Wall, China Wall
