Is the Bible the Word of God? If it is the Word of God, can we know for certain? Faith is based on evidence and there is a mountain of evidence to support both questions.

2 Peter 1: And so we have the prophetic word confirmed, which you do well to heed as a light that shines in a dark place, until the day dawns and the morning star rises in your hearts; 20 knowing this first, that no prophecy of Scripture is of any private interpretation, 21 for prophecy never came by the will of man, but holy men of God spoke as they were moved by the Holy Spirit.

Many types relating to many different things. NOT ALL PROPHECY IS PREDICTIVE God alone can tell the future, The Bible tells the future, Therefore, the Bible must be from God

Criteria for True Prophecy: It has to be beyond the power of man to foresee. It must be provable that it was foretold before the event took place. It must apply to the event. Language must be clear and definite. Must have a clear and apparent fulfillment.

5 Values of Archeology in respect to the Bible: It gives cultural background. It resurrects forgotten people. It provides evidence for the accuracy and integrity of the Bible. It helps identify Biblical locations. It gives us a basis of the Biblical timeline.

18 Conclusion The results of all this evidence seem fairly clear. They favor the Biblical account as being accurate. The Bible MUST be from God.
