8 Portal Carefirst System Swift System Health and Social Care Staff
Two-way data sharing pilot Portal as the viewer for health and social care staff Pilot two-way data sharing with West Dunbartonshire with custom (council) web service - completed Extend access to health data for social care staff in all councils – completed Develop supplier (Carefirst) web service and pilot two-way data sharing with West Duns - underway Extend two-way data sharing with other Carefirst councils – in planning Develop supplier (SWIFT) web service and pilot two-way data sharing for 2 remaining councils – in planning Roles Carefirst System Swift System

10 Feedback from Pilots “Instant access to real-time patient / client information”. “Removing the need for multiple telephone calls across health and social work”. “No more waiting for a colleague to get back to you with basic, but important information”. “As social workers we never previously had access to basic information that would greatly have assisted our work and assessments of individuals without need to call around (often multiple health partners) so any information sharing is welcome”.

11 Further opportunities for sharing and joint working with portal
Forms and pathways – electronic data capture, workflow and sharing. Work-lists – can be used to manage workflow around particular groups of patients/clients and shared amongst specific users. Messaging – portal has in-built practitioner to practitioner secure messaging. Single sign on to portal, e.g. Scottish Public Sector Identity & Authentication Hub – SPIdAH.
