1 Orientation & Registration 11th Grade

History/Social Science-2 Years B. English-4 years C. Mathematics-3 years D. Laboratory Science-2 years E. Foreign Language-2 years F. Visual and Performing Arts-1 year G. College Prep Electives- 1 year *Must complete all A-G classes with a “C” or better.

4 BCHS will be offering the PSAT 10 to all 10th graders.
When: February 28 Where: BCHS Cost: $15 Sign ups are happening now with the bookkeeper (Mrs. Marx in the SBO). If you are planning to attend a 4 year university after high school you should be taking this test! Sign up today!

5 SAT & ACT EXAMS If you plan on attending a UC/CSU, you must take the SAT or ACT ACT- A three and a half-hour college admissions examination that consists of tests in English, mathematics, reading, and science reasoning. SAT- A three and a half-hour college admission test of critical reading, mathematical reasoning abilities, and writing skills. Should take tests in Spring of your Junior year Registration is online. 6 Special Recognition at Graduation
White Robe- must be a Life member of CSF (California Scholarship Federation) 4 of 6 semesters. May also earn wearing a gold stole for 100% membership (6 of 6 semesters). Must qualify for one term during senior year. See Mrs. Burkhart in H4 for more information. Gold Cord- must maintain a 3.5 GPA throughout high school. Red Cord- need to complete 250 hours of community service. See Mr. Labendeira to turn in timecards.

7 Class requirement reminders:
College classes- enroll at MCC (see Counselor for K-12 form). Must maintain a 2.0 GPA at BCHS. Bring in college class schedule prior to adding the “MCC” class to your BCHS schedule. Class/Office Assistant, PAL or AVID tutor- complete the class assistant form and turn in w/ your registration. 20 credits max. 10 credits per year. ROP (Regional Occupational Program).- On campus and off campus classes. Do not need to have job. Some on the job training provided without pay. Many classes take 2 class periods.

10 Log into your Aeries account
Online Orientation Log into your Aeries account Go to “Student Info” and select “Course Requests Entry”

11 Select a Subject Area on right side of page to see classes available in that area

12 Select US History in Sbj Area Click on US History .1
Example: Select US History in Sbj Area Click on US History .1 Click OK when asked if you are requesting this class

13 Once you have selected a class it will show up on the left
If you made a mistake you can click the red x to delete the class Do not use the “Add Alternate” option

14 Complete your online registration
Use this same process to select your top 6 classes (7 classes if you are taking a 0 period) Be sure to circle the same classes on your registration form and list at least 2 alternate classes on your registration form, do not use the add alternate classes option on the online registration When you have selected all classes double check that the list of classes shown are the same as the classes on your registration form
