3. Session Description
VCCCD has recently created an interesting solution in the Finance/AR area:
We have developed a Web Cashier application in Banner Self-Service that allows our college business offices to post credit card payments directly to the Student account. The application also allows the entry of additional fees, cash, and check payments.

4. Web-based Cashiering - Purpose
Replaces separate credit-card machines, dial-up lines, etc.
Direct application to Student account
Single vendor for all CC transactions
Byproduct – allowed addition of American Express and Discover
Performs other Banner functions with the same interface

Not subject to
Self-Service
timeout

User ID, PIN
as Self-Service

asks for
Student ID

8. Cashier can
