The Relationship between Wasps and Caterpillars
By Jose Velasquez
2
Native Habitats The wasp is usually found in garden habitats and temperate freshwater habitats. The cabbage white caterpillar is found in most habitats such as meadows, bogs, and gardens as well.

Wasp Caterpillar
4
Process The wasp finds a caterpillar and lays it eggs in it. The larvae feed off of the caterpillars insides until they are large enough to live on its own. It then busts out of the skin and forms cocoons on top of the dying caterpillar. It forms in the cocoon until it hatches. When these larvae hatch, the caterpillar dies.
