This year the focus has shifted where the students are not learning to read, but reading to learn.

We will be developing our writing styles through daily journaling, reflective thinking, and responses.

Lists are formed by patterns found in “Words Their Way.”

9. Handwriting We use S or N for grades.

Extra credit opportunities are given usually for reading, social studies, or science.

13. Graded Work Folders Papers are sent home periodically.
Please remove the papers and sign folder to return to school in the envelope.

14. Birthdays At Home Stress responsibility, attitude, and effort.
Welcomed treats brought in may be given out at lunch. Summer birthdays can be celebrated in a half of a year or in June.
