Submitting special program information (i.e. the Honors Program, Jumpstart, the Educational Opportunities Program) Submitting final high school transcripts (including duel credit classes) Understanding LHU’s scheduling process… Including the fact that schedules will be created the week of July 9th. They will be posted in Myhaven by Friday July, 13th.

LHU Account Each student is assigned an LHU account, which will end with This account is to be used for all university business. Most offices will only correspond with students via their university account. It is important that they sign into their accounts, change their passwords, and check the accounts regularly. account information will also be used for other processes such as logging into the myHaven web portal and the math assessment. addresses are/will be mailed to students. The letter will also described how to determine their temporary password.

Myhaven Web Portal This is where they will view their schedules, register for courses, and check their financial aid, housing, student bill and much more. To log in to myHaven, they visit myhaven.lhup.edu/ICS/. They enter their username (the first part of their address, Then they enter the new LHU password they created when they set up their accounts. When they are finished working in myHaven, they should always click the "Logout" link at the top of the page to prevent others from accessing their information.

Math Assessment All LHU students are required to take the math assessment. This exam allows the Registrar’s Office to schedule students for the appropriate level math course It also helps to identify whether they have met the pre-requisite for non-math courses, such as chemistry. Students can go to to take the assessment.

Scheduling courses… All first-time LHU students have a schedule assigned to them by the Registrar’s Office. This occurs for several reasons. Primarily, it is because new students are often not familiar with our course structure, process for scheduling and have not yet been assigned an academic adviser. This way students are assured that they are scheduled for appropriate freshmen level courses, are taking courses that apply to their declared major and do not select courses that have prerequisites. Beginning with a student’s second semester at LHU, he/she makes his/her own class schedule, in consultation with his/her academic adviser

Expectations There are seven sets of expectations that can significantly impact a student’s success. Those are: Students’ expectations of LHU, and their college experiences The university’s expectations of students Parents expectations of students The university’s expectations of parents Parents expectations of the university Students’ expectations of parents. Students’ expectations of themselves All of these expectations need to be aligned in order for a student to have the optimum college experience.
