How We Do It:
PWCS requires teachers to communicate no fewer than 9 grades per quarter.
Staff and students focus on quality of instruction and mastery of targets.
Students will not be penalized for late work, however, cut-off dates prior to reporting deadlines do exist.
ALL students are given opportunities to learn and master targets.
Grades reflecting what students know based on mastery of targets.
Appropriate and timely feedback provided to students.
Retakes for all students who wish to improve their understanding. Teacher will designate how students will fill in the gaps before retaking.
Behavior will not be reflected in grades, just level of mastery.
