11 Rezoning Process Rezoning application submitted to the City for official consideration one month later Public hearing with the Planning Commission Notices are sent to property owners within 600 feet of property boundary Meeting the third Tuesday of the month at 7:00 p.m. Public opinions may be provided in writing, by , by petition, or spoken (three minute time limit – groups are encouraged to designate a spokesman with a 10 minute time limit) Development Review Team recommendation provided Planning Commission deliberates (may require more than one meeting) and will forward a recommendation to the City Council City Council deliberates (may require more than one meeting) and determines appropriate zoning for the properties City Council will initially consider the request the first Monday of the month at 7:00 p.m. following a recommendation from the Planning Commission Two approval votes, spaced one month apart, are required to authorize any rezoning
