TOK/Thesis AP CAPSTONE An 18 month independent study with an advisor and mentor which culminates in a Thesis Document (30+ pages) and an oral defense. Year 1 Example components: Preliminary Proposal Annotated Bibliography (5+ pages) Formal Proposal (5+ pages) Ch. 1: Introduction (5 pages) Ch. 2: Review of Literature (10+ pages) Ch. 3: Methods (5-7 pages) Plus numerous other assignments throughout the junior year. Year 2: Independent summer work completing research and then completing Ch. 4 & 5 Oral Defense prior to Winter Break of Sr. Yr. Year 1: Task 1: 4-5 page paper & 8-10 min. group presentation, Task 2: 8-10 page paper & 6-8 min. Individual Presentation & oral defense Task 3: AP Exam 16-20 page paper Presentation and Oral Defense
