2 Mandate BOI as the lead agency in charge of investments promotion in the country, is tasked to perform the following functions: Develops and implements an investments promotion strategy for the Philippines. Registers and monitors qualified enterprises and administers investment incentives to registered enterprises.

Leads in the formulation and implementation of an investment promotion strategy and spearheads the synchronization of investment promotion efforts both at the local and national levels to provide total investor solutions. Embarks on an aggressive advocacy campaign aimed at positioning the Philippines as an investment destination of choice in Asia.

International Marketing Department Domestic Industry Studies Strategy and Communications Designs and Implements a strategic inbound & outbound marketing program to attract potential investors Conducts country market studies to determine the investments competitiveness of the country in the international scene Formulates company profiles and case studies for promotion and marketing pitch with value propositions for target companies Develops & implements a region-based promotion program to generate Investments through the Conduct of domestic roadshows to encourage investments in the preferred areas of activities Conducts Capability Building Training on Investments Promotion to enhance appreciation of the role of local executives, line agencies & that of the stakeholders and develop the skills of the participants directly involved in investments promotion to better package their area for investments Provides technical assistance in the design & implementation of business promotion & Advocacy events projects of the Regional DTI, Regional Investments Promotion Centers, Local Chambers of Commerce & LGU’s.

Studies investment opportunities for specific industries & sectors. Prepares marketing & communication plans, promotion collaterals, advertising & advocacy campaigns, press releases & articles. Prepares sector value propositions for promotion to investors Serves as the BOI spokesperson to respond to press releases & specific issues concerning the agency & particular industries

8 Investments Servicing Group
Provides the crucial, expanded and upgraded services to a broad range of investors. Offers both frontline and after sales services that are designed to persuade investor decisions to locate and retain their investments in the country.

9 Investments Aftercare
Servicing Group National Economic Research & Business Assistance Center (NERBAC) Investments Aftercare Services Department Provides assistance to both local and foreign investors by providing information advice & guidance on relevant laws and procedures relative to doing business in the Philippines. Assists investors by servicing their needs during the pre-operating stages of the Project. Maintains and manages database on the Different laws from the Investments Promotion Agencies (IPA) policies and Procedures, including cost of doing Business, site selection, FAQs. Provides after sales service to existing Micro, Small, Medium & Large Investors. Facilitates the resolution of investor’s Issues and concerns. Formulates and implements programs leading to Retention, Expansion and diversification of existing investments.

10 Project Assessment Group
Provides professional and organized processing of investment applications and monitors registered firms through the use of an enhanced database system. Provides services to investors from the time they apply for registration through the infancy stage of the projects operation up to the time that the project are fully operational.

Project Evaluation and Registration Department Supervision and Monitoring Department Incentives Department Evaluates/processes applications for registration of projects identified as priority investment areas in the Investments Priorities Plan (IPP) . Supervises & monitors the operations of the BOI-registered & BOI endorsed RHQs/ROHQs. Processes applications & requests related to incentives administration. Recommends to the Board applications for BOI registration. Provides project proponents with timely advice to ensure compliance with the terms & conditions of registration. Establishes an efficient operating system to facilitate the processing of all types of incentives applications. Endorses to SEC applications of multinational companies for license to establish/operate Regional Operating Headquarters (ROHQ) or Regional Headquarters (RHQ) in the Philippines. Processes applications for the issuance of Certifications/ endorsements required under various laws. Monitors the incentives availed of by registered firms including the actual utilization of the same.

Serves as the corporate planning unit of the agency. Develops and rationalizes identified distressed industries. Designs and implements the BOI Information System Strategic Plan. Serves as the General Counsel of the Board. Renders financial and general administrative services including records management.

Formulates the Phils. negotiating positions on investment agreements on various international for a.
