6 Bushrangers are Heroes
In my opinion, I believe that bushrangers are heroes. If you were a bushranger in 2018, I would think that you were a villain, but things were a lot different back then. In the 1800, life was very tough. Wages were low; and that was if you even had a job. Food was very expensive and lots of farmers would steal cattle to make money. Many people died from starvation. So if you were poor/out of work, the easiest and most efficient chance of survival was to become a bushranger. That is why so many people became bushrangers, but of course there were other reasons. Some Aboriginals who became bushrangers, had a very good reason to become it. Jimmy Governor, was an Aboriginal. When he was an adult he married 61-year-old Ethel. Who was white. Jimmy had a good life. But then one day his wife was getting taunted for marring a black man, suddenly he life changed. Jimmy was so angry when no apology was given, that he became a bushranger. He went around Killing people and steeling things. It may have been a bit extreme but life was terrible for Aboriginals back then. Yes. Bushrangers did do crimes, but were there crimes always for themselves? Ned Kelly robbed two banks. But he gave most of the money to farmers and the poor. When he robbed the bank in Euroa, he wrecked the papers that had all the bills the villagers had to pay. Many loved him for some of the things he did. Often, bushrangers were in a situation were they had to kill otherwise they would die. So bushrangers weren’t always selfish and just stole heaps of money to be rich, and kill people for the fun of it. There were many bushrangers in the 1800, but if life had been like it is now, I’m sure there would be hardly any, or none.

7 What were some of the things people did to protect themselves and their belongs from bushrangers?
Have people guarding the thing’s at all times. Have fences. Have their thing’s hidden/in unobvious places. Sold there gold at the gold fields.

8 21st century bushranger Bushrangers now days, would have to be very skilled. They would have to be able to speed away in cars, have cunning disguises, hide there guns/weapons, and act like there a normal kind person. If they did not have these skills, there would be a pretty good chance of them getting court, and in gaol.

9 21st century bushranger potential crimes
What are somethings that a 21st Century Bushranger might steal today? Money, phones, iPads, laptops, credit cards, new invented machines, keys, tools Ways people can protect themselves from a 21st century bushranger 1 Passwords to devises 2 Locks 3 Security cameras 4 Alarms 5 Fences

10 Punishment and why this punishment suits this crime
New Law Punishment and why this punishment suits this crime 1 Places near the bush would have to have lots of guards armed with guns, watching for bushrangers at all times. If the guards go away without asking the prime minister, they instantly go to goal. People who apply for the job and get it, should be responsible for doing it. 2 People have to be stricter with the laws that are already made. If the police are notified that something is going wrong and they don’t do something about it, they have to do the terrible jobs at the police station, but don’t get payed. If you are a police it is a serious job, and you can’t just not worry about something. 3 Electric fences around communities that are alarmed. If fences are not put up, then the people who were supposed to put them up get fined $1000,000. If this is your job, you are responsible for it, and should do it when told. If you make the punishments really bad then people are most likely not to do it. 4 NO ONE (except the police) is allowed to carry weapons around. If you are caught with a weapon, you get sent to goal for 10 years, on hard labor. It is very dangerous if people are carrying around weapons at all times, you never know they could pull a gun out any minute and shoot you. 5 Security cameras are in all public places to watch for any bad language, people armed with weapons and things that are bad. If you get caught doing those things, you go to goal for 3 years and then they decide if you should stay in goal for longer or not. Terrible things should get a terrible punishment. acing these crimes.

11 1800 bushranger Similarities 21st century bushranger
An 1800 bushranger would go around on horse, have weapons that were tricky to carry and different skills. The punishments were also a lot different to. If you committed murder, you would be hanged which is a type of getting killed. They would have had to be really skilled on a horse, so that they could get away quickly from the police bushrangers would find things valuable that aren't really valuable today. A 21st century bushranger would have a lot more modern weapons/skills. They would have light weight easy to carry guns, tracking apps on there phones, and lots of cunning disguises. It would be easier to get around, because they would have a car or van which they could easily speed of in. Get around on things other than walking everywhere. Both do the crimes. Both have to be really skilled so that they don’t get caught.

12 Who is more dangerous, an 1800 bushranger, or a 21st bushranger?
I believe that a 21st century bushranger is more dangerous than an 1800 bushranger. A 21st century bushranger would have more dangerous weapons than an 1800 one, as everything is changing and getting better. A 21st bushranger would also be able to do cyber bullying , but that didn’t exist in the If a 21st century bushranger was smart, they would be able to outsmart the police and do terrible things. If it was the 1800, cars would not exist. So you couldn’t just speed away, and then go slow, stop at a place were the police are not at, disguise yourself as someone else, pull out a gun and one persons dead! A 21st bushranger, might have really small weapons that can fit in a small backpack, so when there out an about they can just pull out there weapons and hurt or kill people.
