2. How can my digital footprint affect my future opportunities?
Your digital Footprint can be accessed to everybody: parents, coaches, teachers, principals, etc. People can easily find out your personal information by simply searching you on Google. Young users these days don’t realize how threatening this can become. We do not think enough before we post anything because once you post something online, it will be hard, if not impossible to get it back especially the information you don’t want the whole world to know about you.
When applying for college or a job, everything will probably be taken into consideration, which also includes your online presence. They can monitor even the slightest details, such as your profile picture, small posts, etc on social media that could imply as “ˋbad behavior”.

3. What can I use to keep my digital footprint appropriate and safe?
The most effective way is to think before we post. Our Digital Footprints can be utilized as a great source to contribute and comment on others’ work but if we are not mindful with it, it can be very dangerous.
For sensitive and personal posts, we can use privacy settings for security. When unsure if it’s secured enough, we can always google ourselves and check.
Last but not least, we need to build a positive digital footprint. We are encouraged to create opportunities for a better future, and digital footprints are very effective in sharing our achievements and success.

4. Important information about digital footprint
As I have mentioned previously, digital footprints are a wonderful source if we use them properly. I can have things online about my awards that Iˋve earned in school or from sports that could be a plus for my future opportunities. But if you have a bad digital footprint, it will fall into your future. I hope that from now on, many people can be more careful when using digital footprints.
