Give two ways that you can measure scale on a map

Look for a scale bar – use your ruler to work out how many centimetres (cm) for 1 kilometres (km)
For example: 2cm = 1 km
There are two main ways:
Using a ruler for straight line distances
Using a piece of string or paper to measure curved distances
