Go to Click on ‘Members’ – red button near the top Sign in using last name and member ID Click on ‘Join GEMS’, blue left side bar Enter your member ID and birth date and click ‘submit’ Complete the form, click ‘submit’ Done – Now you’ll receive GEMS messages

3 Legislative eMail NARFE Legislative Action Center
The Slow Boat Go to Sign in using your last name and Member ID At mid-page, under Legislation, click on Legislative Action Center Enter you ZIP+4 Code – you can choose what you want to do – follow directions for , etc.

The Fast Boat From a GEMS Message, click where it says You are now in the NARFE Legislative Action Center. The message to be sent is displayed Complete the form with your information Click Send Note: Some Congressional Districts split a county and will require your ZIP+4 Code

5 Completing The F-7 Chapter President or Assignee
Go to Place cursor on Leadership, Click on Forms Sign in using your name and member ID Go to list of Interactive Forms Click on Chapter (Officer Roster) F-7 Sign in on your ID if you’re the President or the President’s ID and name (otherwise)

6 Completing The F-7 Chapter President or Assignee
Click “yes” if you get a dialog box asking if you want a Secure Connection. Here’s your F-7 Click “Yes” to receive paper reports You can make entries as to your chapter’s meeting place, date, & time, etc. Make sure the Federation President and Secretary receive a copy by completing their information Complete the form and review for accuracy “before” sending. Be sure every position is addressed, either with change, no change, or vacant.

7 Using M-114 & M-112 Reports Chapter President sets user name and password Go to Place cursor on Leadership, Click on Online Reports Click on Chapter Reports Enter User Name and Password

8 Using M-114 & M-112 Reports You’ll see a screen with options to:
M-111 – State Officer Roster M-112 – Issued Monthly about the 8th of the month Three formats. HTML, Excel or Text. Click on desired format and month. (note: only 3 months are available for any online report) M-114 – Issued semi-annually with M-112 updates included. Three formats. HTML, Excel or Text. Click on desired format . Note: A-220 (dues activity), M-130 (recruiting fee), M-131c (AFE bonus recruiting fee) and W-101 (chapter dues advance payment) reports are also available

9 Using M-114 & M-112 Reports You can print directly from this page or save to your computer or disk. Instructions for printing address labels are available from this page. Look around to see which documents you need and in what format.

10 Change Chapter Passwords
Requires Chapter President’s approval Usually given to Chapter Officers Passwords are automatically reset when Form F-7 is submitted with new Chapter President

11 Change Chapter Passwords
New Page Change Chapter Passwords Go to Go to NARFE Leadership on the red bar Click on ‘Online Reports’ On the Reports Log-in Page, go to the bottom paragraph where it says retrieval or change of name and password, click on the underscored word Enter you President’s ID and Mother’s Maiden Name Make the change and click ‘Submit’

Does your Chapter have web site? Find out and periodically check out what’s there The WSFC web site is Go take a look. Thigs Change! We used the NARFE.ORG and WSFC web sites a lot including, general information and downloadable forms, etc. Discuss the following points.

13 Order Forms Go to www.narfe.org Go to NARFE Leadership, click on Forms
New Page Order Forms Go to Go to NARFE Leadership, click on Forms Sign in with your name and Member ID Under Forms, go to F-18 Complete the information requested Enter number of items for each form requested Leave the rest blank (no zeros) Click ‘Submit’ , you’ll receive an receipt Note: On Forms page below F-18 are a number of choices including a list of interactive & downloadable forms, etc.
