She informs how quickly people are polluting the earth Directions: Identify 1-2 errors with this phrase. Be specific – use academic language (verb, adverb, etc.) Re-write the phrase by rearranging the syntax to resolve the 1-2 errors you identify.

Take out your assignment sheet Review the prompt and the specific requirements. Use a new color writing device to identify the items you KNOW you have done. With a different symbol, identify the items you’re not sure about or know you have not done. Research and citations conversation

8 Synthesis TW (2012 USPS) Review the prompt
what does it ask you to do? How do you know? With a partner – read through the “Student Performance Q&A” document Practice reflection and extension as you read: What is something you thought you knew What is something you learned How and when will you apply this learning

9 Synthesis TW (2012 USPS) Read through the rubric. Mark the rubric with high, mid, and low scores. In groups of 3-4 – read each others’ essays. Annotate the essay for essential elements of a synthesis paper. Use the rubric to score the essay. Make sure to use the language of the rubric as you score. Write a scoring rationale (3 ish sentences) Make sure that you score your own essay, and that at least two other people do as well 
