3 Why is this a debate Adults have always tried to control the behaviour of children Rewards and punishments common Psychology has given us greater understanding and control. Parents and teachers now more aware of conditioning techniques

4 Why is this a debate This raises ethical issues.
Should we modify behaviour without a child’s consent? Is it fair to overwrite free will? Is it in a child’s best interest in the long term? What happens when rewards and punishments are taken away? Before looking at the various arguments for this debate, what is your opinion? Is it ethical to use conditioning techniques on children? Explain your point of view.

Investigate this debate and create: A booklet (either electronic or made by hand) A detailed poster (similar to the ones made last time) A detailed PowerPoint A website A video or animation Any other medium you can think of (just make sure to run it by the teacher first)
