2 Presentation Objectives
The Scope of this Workshop is to: 1) Provide an update as to the current public bid and estimated construction schedule; 2) Discuss the current scope of the Construction Plans; 3) Field general questions from the Public.

3 Bid Schedule for Pine Forest
Pre-Construction (Bid and Award) Activities: Currently advertising for public bid in the Katy Times Mandatory Pre-Bid Meeting with Contractors (earlier today) Public Bid Opening Scheduled for Thursday, June 21st at 2:30 p.m. at City Hall City Council meeting of Monday, July 9th to present Recommendation to Award Contract July 9th: Katy Brookshire Drainage District Meeting. July 10th through July 23rd: Parties to Execute Contract Week of July 9th: Schedule a Pre-Construction Meeting Week of July 16th: Schedule an evening Public Workshop with Residents of Pine Forest and Contractor Awarded Project. July 24th: Estimated Issuance of Notice to Proceed to Contractor July 30th: Estimated Receipt of USACE Permit to Modify Cane Island Discharge

Total Calendar Days Allocated in Bid Language: 210 Estimated Notice to Proceed to Contractor: Tuesday, July 24th Substantial Completion Date (Assuming No Rain Delays): Monday, February 25th, 2019 Discuss City’s Incentives and Penalties terms in Contract Manufacture Time for Avenue D Storm Sewer Boxes: Estimated up to 8 weeks delivery from Manufacturer Once Order Placed Possible Field Conflicts: CenterPoint, Consolidated…etc. Avenue D from Magnolia Ditch to Morton Road will be Reduced to two (2) lanes of traffic (One Lane Each Way) for an estimated 200 calendar days (August 2018 until February 2019). Contractor Staging Location will be a challenge

7 Layout of Projects Nos. #1 - #4:

8 Pine Forest Project #5 (Future Task)
*PROJECT # 5 Improve Roadside Ditch/Driveway Culvert for Pine Forest to current minimum Design Standards. -This Project cannot be undertaken until Project Nos. #1 #2 and #4 are completed first for establishing new depth and capacity. - Clean Out Ditches with additional Depth. Absolute Minimum is 18” below front yard. Absolute Maximum Depth is 4 feet below Street. - Evaluate All Driveway Culverts for depth and capacity. - Clean/Remove all existing landscape features that are in the existing street right-of-way that conflict with the road side collector ditches.
