Chile is a very long skinny country . It has the ocean on one side and the mountains on the other. In some cities you can go to both the beach and the mountains just by travelling from one side to the other.

The official language of Chile is Spanish. Chile is home to over 17 million people . That’s around the same amount of people we have in Australia

10 Chile has the highest active volcano in the world and there is a huge lake in the mountains too which is also the highest lake in the world.

12 The Andes, the longest continental mountain range in the world, extend through the entire length of Chile and mountains cover 80 percent of Chile.

29 Because the city is on a steep hill, there are lots of stairs and some boxes like lifts that go up and down rails like trams but they call them escalators.

Your job today is the passport and suitcase , as usual. As soon as you’ve put on your stickers for Chile, put your suitcase back in the tub. Then we have a mini Valparaiso to make. Colour the buildings as brightly as you can and we can put them together to make a mural. There are also some videos about Chile to watch on the computers.
