2 Remember What Worship Is?
The main Hebrew word: Shacah – to bow down in obedient reverence The main Greek Word: Proskuneo – to bow down and kiss the hand of The Old English: Derived from the word worth-ship. Meaning to denote worthiness to the one receiving the honor or devotion.

3 Does Worship Involve Actions?
Can you show respect, homage and reverence without actions? God Has Given His Children Actions: Singing (Ephesians 5:19) Praying (1 Timothy 2:8) Teaching (Acts 20:7) Lord’s Supper (1 Corinthians 11:17-34) Collection (1 Corinthians 16:1-2)

4 Does Worship Involve Emotions?
Can you show respect, homage and reverence without emotions? How Do Emotions Affect Worship? Worship involves your mind. Are emotions involved in singing? (1 Corinthians 14:15) Matthew 15:8-9

5 Where Do We Find Balance?
Can you show respect, homage and reverence without actions? Worship is a blend of actions and emotions: Did Nadab and Abihu have a bad attitude. (Leviticus 10:1,2) Was it possible to express emotions in Ethiopia? (Acts 8:27) Did Cain sacrifice with a wrong attitude or actions? (Genesis 4:3-5)

6 Finding the Balance Your mental focus must be God and your actions must be God’s directions. Personal Time: Is your worship just actions? Is your worship just emotions?
