There is a teaching of some that all of life is worship / service to God.
Romans 12:1 - I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service.
FOUR “D’s” OF WORSHIP - -

4. DIRECTION WORSHIP MUST
John 4:24 - God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth.”
WORSHIP
Action – not passive
Participants – not spectators
MUST
Worship is essential to our salvation

5. DIRECTION SPIRIT TRUTH
John 4:24 - God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth.”
SPIRIT
Our attitude must be correct
TRUTH
The Bible is our authority in worship

“Worth ship” – worthy of honor

7. DEPARTURE
When one’s life is dedicated to God, whatever he does is worship/service. It is not a matter of “Lord, we come before Thee now,” for we are in Him and His Spirit is in us continually.
Since everything we do in life is worship, there are not such things as five acts of worship.

8. DEPARTURE
I have some problems with the idea of worship assemblies because all that we do is worship or service to God.
Worship isn’t singing, it isn’t preaching, it isn’t the Lord’s Supper, it isn’t praying, it isn’t giving. It isn’t even all of these things combined in a 60-minute period on Sundays.

In Romans 12:1 “service” means “sacrifice of things consecrated to God”
Some things are right in life – wrong in worship
There is a clear distinction in life and worship
Romans 1:25 - who exchanged the truth of God for the lie, and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever. Amen.

10. DEPARTURE We can “go to” and “depart from” worship – Acts 8:27-28
Men and angels – worship and serve God
There are specific ACTS of worship
John 4:24 does not fit the teaching that all of life is worship

11. DANGER This idea will de-emphasize worship
It ignores the authority principle in worship
It tends to make worship an attitude not an action

12. Conclusion: Many things are OK in life – Not OK in worship
Do the dishes, take a shower, play with the children, watch TV
Big Mac is allowed in life – not at the Lord’s Table
Instrumental music is allowed in life – not in the worship to God
