1. Tutorial Protocol In Mrs. Kavanagh’s Class
EQ: What am I expected to do during Tutorials?

2. When you walk in ... Your TRF is due when you walk in
Mrs. Kavanagh will say, “Last call” - after that your TRF is late.
If your TRF is turned in prior to us starting to Tutorials, it is half credit.
If it is not turned in prior to us reading the P.O.C’s, you forfeit all points.

3. Groups You are to sit where your name is. Normally there are groups
You are to sit nearest the board (not furthest away, not with the comfy chair, etc.)

4. Once you sit Take out your Interactive Notebook Notes Books
One chromebook should be out and available.
All headphones, phones put away

5. Prior to Starting
Some activity is done… working on planners, motivational speeches, campus tours
Time to work on prep for Binder check… like today.

6. At the beginning of the Tutorial
TRFs will be returned
You will be given a page in your IN to take your 3 column notes
Each group member will read their point of confusion
Tutor determines who starts

7. During Tutorial Actively participate
Keep side conversations to a minimum
No doing homework
Take 3 column notes
HELP, HELP, HELP
No phones in use unless approved by Tutor. If points are taken away due to phone usage, it will be noted in PowerSchool.
Tutors - college, peer, appointed- will take notes for the presenter

8. Presenters
30 second speech- be thorough, and don’t just write on the board. End your speech with , “Do you have any questions to assist me?”

Listen to feedback
DO NOT just solve the problem yourself

9. After Tutorials End Tutorials anywhere from 15-20 min early
Do your reflection
Be specific - don’t just say, “Jessica helped me.” Explain HOW she helped you.
Reflections are to be done immediately
Once graded and recorded, your TRF will be returned to you. Please put in the page specified by Mrs. Kavanagh
Both 3 column notes and TRF count as notes for Binder checks as long as they are secure and complete.
