2 Why Frost Valley? Frost Valley fosters skills for building trust, communication, positive group dynamics, and problem solving. The activities conducted at Frost Valley help meet learning standards for New York State curriculum with a focus on real life skills & problem solving. Activities include: low ropes course, scavenger hunts, group activities, rapport building games, etc.

3 Why Frost Valley...part 2 Teamwork focused and rapport building activities have a positive impact on school climate. As per the DASA law of 2012, all schools must incorporate such measures to ensure improved school climate.

4 Tentative Schedule - Day 1
Tuesday Sept. 19th 9AM - Depart MMS Arrive at Frost Valley Lunch (approx. Noon) Team Activity 1 Team Activity 2 Dinner (approx. 5:30pm) Evening Program Campfire Lights out - 10pm

5 Tentative Schedule - Day 2
Wednesday Sept. 20 Rise and Shine - 7am Breakfast - 8am Team Activity - 9:30am Lunch - Noon Depart for Home - 12:00pm Arrive at MMS around 2pm

6 Lodging Students will stay in bunk beds
Generally there will be 4 students per room. Adults (teachers/parent chaperones) will stay in the same “lodge” as the students but in separate rooms. (

7 Dining at Frost Valley Our dining hall offers a vast array of options from the typical kid fare to organic, gluten-free, dairy-free, and vegan options. Care is taken to meet the dietary needs of all of our campers. At every meal, there is a cereal bar, fresh fruit bar, and two salad bars, as well as soup and sandwich fixings. Juices, water, tea and coffee (for adults) are also available at all times throughout the day. Source - Frost Valley Website

8 Further Information... All students will be asked to contribute towards the cost of the trip. Student cost: $150. Parent Chaperones cost: $175 This covers busing, lodging, four meals, & activities Our discount card fundraiser will be applied to the transportation costs Need-based scholarships may be available. Please contact School Social Worker, Lisa Cracolici, to discuss ( ex. 1912). Resources for parents and student; including health forms, behavior contract, ‘what to pack’ included in your packet and will be available on our website.
