1 Fellowship’s Foundation/ Acts 2:14-41

2 Begin with doctrine 42 And they continued stedfastly in the apostles' doctrine

3 Begin with doctrine 42 And they continued stedfastly in the apostles' doctrine Spreading doctrine was the goal… Act 5:27 And when they had brought them, they set [them] before the council: and the high priest asked them, 28 Saying, Did not we straitly command you that ye should not teach in this name? and, behold, ye have filled Jerusalem with your doctrine, and intend to bring this man's blood upon us.

4 There is an attack on doctrine
2Pe 2:1 But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction. 2 And many shall follow their pernicious ways; by reason of whom the way of truth shall be evil spoken of. 3 And through covetousness shall they with feigned words make merchandise of you: whose judgment now of a long time lingereth not, and their damnation slumbereth not.

5 Key Point #1 Doctrine is the test of experience, experience is not the test of doctrine

6 Key Point #2 A unified and purposed church is
founded on the authority of God’s word.

7 The Ingredients of Fellowship
and fellowship, and in breaking of bread, and in prayers. The Table

8 Key Point #3 The table is a catalyst to facilitate true and meaningful fellowship

9 The Ingredients of Fellowship
and fellowship, and in breaking of bread, and in prayers. The Table Corporate Prayer

10 Key Point #4 Corporate prayer is the collective work of  those who agree to align their desires with God’s will.

11 The Significance of Fear
And fear came upon every soul: and many wonders and signs were done by the apostles.. The Table Corporate Prayer Fear

12 Key Point #5 Godly fear is the result of knowing God’s true nature

13 Job 28:28 And unto man he said, Behold, the fear of the Lord, that [is] wisdom; and to depart from evil [is] understanding. Job 14:1 Man [that is] born of a woman [is] of few days, and full of trouble. 2 He cometh forth like a flower, and is cut down: he fleeth also as a shadow, and continueth not.

14 Psa 25:14 The secret of the LORD [is] with them that fear him; and he will shew them his covenant.
Psa 39:5 Behold, thou hast made my days [as] an handbreadth; and mine age [is] as nothing before thee: verily every man at his best state [is] altogether vanity. Selah. Psa 33:8 Let all the earth fear the LORD: let all the inhabitants of the world stand in awe of him.

15 Singlemindedness The Table Corporate Prayer Fear Single-minded
44 And all that believed were together, and had all things common ; The Table Corporate Prayer Fear Single-minded 1Co 1:10 Now I beseech you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that ye all speak the same thing, and [that] there be no divisions among you; but [that] ye be perfectly joined together in the same mind and in the same judgment.

17 Key Point #6 A united church glorifies God and invites his blessing

18 Singlemindedness The Table Corporate Prayer Fear Single-minded
44 And all that believed were together, and had all things common ; The Table Corporate Prayer Fear Single-minded Rom 15:5 Now the God of patience and consolation grant you to be likeminded one toward another according to Christ Jesus: 6 That ye may with one mind [and] one mouth glorify God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.

19 Sacrificial 45 And sold their possessions and goods, and parted them to all [men], as every man had need; The Table Corporate Prayer Fear Single-minded Sacrificial

20 Example of Macedonia 2Co 8:1 Moreover, brethren, we do you to wit of the grace of God bestowed on the churches of Macedonia; 2 How that in a great trial of affliction the abundance of their joy and their deep poverty abounded unto the riches of their liberality. 3 For to [their] power, I bear record, yea, and beyond [their] power [they were] willing of themselves; 4 Praying us with much intreaty that we would receive the gift, and [take upon us] the fellowship of the ministering to the saints. 5 And [this they did], not as we hoped, but first gave their own selves to the Lord, and unto us by the will of God. 6 Insomuch that we desired Titus, that as he had begun, so he would also finish in you the same grace also. 7 Therefore, as ye abound in every [thing, in] faith, and utterance, and knowledge, and [in] all diligence, and [in] your love to us, [see] that ye abound in this grace also.

21 2Co 9:6 But this [I say], He which soweth sparingly shall reap also sparingly; and he which soweth bountifully shall reap also bountifully. 7 Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, [so let him give]; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver.

22 Key Point #7 A Christian liberated to give honors God, builds the brethren and strengthens the work

23 This was a church God could use...
Acts 2:46 And they, continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, did eat their meat with gladness and singleness of heart, 47 Praising God, and having favour with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily such as should be saved.

24 How do the decisions we make individually hinder the unity and strength of our church?
