God gave the baptism of the Holy Ghost for the purpose of the empowerment. This experience is relevant to in bringing unity within the body of Christ and a greater anointing for the high calling of God…..
Acts 1:4-8; 2:42-47

2. Acts 1:4-8 (KJV) 4  And, being assembled together with them, commanded them that they should not depart from Jerusalem, but wait for the promise of the Father, which, saith he, ye have heard of me. 5  For John truly baptized with water; but ye shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost not many days hence. 6  When they therefore were come together, they asked of him, saying, Lord, wilt thou at this time restore again the kingdom to Israel? 7  And he said unto them, It is not for you to know the times or the seasons, which the Father hath put in his own power. 8  But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.

3. Acts 2:42-47 ( KJV )
42And they continued stedfastly in the apostles’ doctrine and fellowship, and in breaking of bread, and in prayers.
43And fear came upon every soul: and many wonders and signs were done by the apostles.
44And all that believed were together, and had all things common;
45And sold their possessions and goods, and parted them to all men, as every man had need.
46And they, continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, did eat their meat with gladness and singleness of heart,
47Praising God, and having favour with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily such as should be saved.

4. Partnership with God
Partnership means the state or condition of being a partner; participation; association; joint interest
One must be obedient to God’s call….. Acts 1:8
Jesus breathed on them and told them to receive the Holy Ghost…. John 20:22
Jesus told them to tarry in Jerusalem until they are endowed with power…. Luke 24:49

5. Threefold experience There are three experiences in the upper room….
The Father’s mercy seat- Promise
The Son’s mercy seat- Word
The Holy Ghost with his Cloud and Fire-Gift
This was God’s gift of unity to the Apostles and to all that were there….

6. Poverty brought unity Acts 2:45 The experiences of Moral Development
Sold their possessions and goods….
Parted them to everyone that had a need….
The experiences of Moral Development
Blessed are the poor in spirit…. Matthew 5:3
For theirs is the Kingdom of Heaven” [The Unified Name]
The Saints willingly became poor so they could have everything in unity of his Name. “By Gift”

7. The importance of unity
Acts 5:1-11
The great sin was breaking the unity….
They didn’t have to be a part but
The land was theirs….
They lied the Holy Ghost….
They didn’t want to pay the price to be a part…
Sometimes God gives you something so you can give it back to him….

8. Don’t break the unity
When things don’t work out like we think they should….
Keep your surrender because surrender brings unity….
Don’t lie to the Holy Ghost because of the challenge….
It must not be God’s will…
We blame God for not blessing us…
God is after that thing in our will that wasn’t joined in the first place…

9. Our responsibility We keep the unity by giving….
God’s word commands us to give the following
Tithes 10%
First fruits – first hrs. wages once a week
Love offerings – a love give to your leaders
When we take that which belongs to God we dip into God’s part and break the Holy Ghost unity….

10. All things common Acts 2:44 Together (yaw-khad) meaning unity to one
Common (yaw-khad) also means to contribute together for an attack, partnership
When we take on the Father’s name we form a partnership…
They believed to support the Father’s cause…

11. Conclusion
My partnership with God is manifested through my surrender to God’s will and then standing on God’s truth…..
Unity is the Holy Ghost power working in our life….
Ephesians 4:15,16
We are a body jointed together….
