Checking E-mail Go to Inbox
Click on message you want to read (In Yahoo underlined subject) After reading message, delete or move to another folder Inbox takes you back to list Next shows you next message

Creating an E-mail Click on Compose
In “To” field, type address of person, or insert address from address book Addresses in CC (carbon copy) field will show up in your message Addresses in BCC (blind carbon copy) field do not show - other recipients will not know

Creating an In Subject field, type a brief description of message topic - one to six words Type message text in Message field Save copy to Sent Items folder option Save draft (fast save if out of time) Send message

Practice Get e-mail address of person next to you Click on Compose
Put the address in box labeled “To” - click in that box and type the address (don’t forget Use Tab key and add subject “Hello” Be sure there is a check mark in the box beside phrase “Save copy to sent folder”

Practice (cont.) Click in the large box below Subject so that you see a blinking cursor, and type a brief message Click the button labeled “Spell Check” to make sure you did not make any spelling errors Click the button labeled Send

Deleting or moving messages
Check items in Inbox Move or delete checked items Remember that Delete moves items to Trash, which is another folder After moving items, empty Trash Before clicking Move button, remember to select folder

Address book Add addresses from people who send you e-mail
Type in new addresses Create lists

Printing E-mail messages
Do NOT print in Compose form You can print from Inbox You can also print from Sent folder Variations in different web-based programs
