5 2018 Initiatives To balance the membership among the PES/PELS/IAS/IES chapters by attracting more of the underrepresented members to participate in activities. To balance the technical activities among the PES/PELS/IAS/IES chapters by inviting more speakers and topics from the underrepresented disciplines. To establish a database of local companies and their discipline affiliation. To coordinate activities and outreach with the corresponding Student branches with the goal of establishing a progression of students into the Professional branches 11/23/2018

6 2018 Plan Use the Officer representation to engage in outreach to local industries in each discipline Use IEEE Membership resources (SAMIEEE, etc.) to gauge the population and interests by discipline Identify speakers and topics by discipline most represented (PES/PELS/IAS/IES) and modify calendar accordingly Establish connections with the leadership of the Student branches, discuss progression into the Professional branches, and agree on actions toward this goal (Ex., Wendy Wang) 11/23/2018
