5 Charting the Green Light
While the Green Light itself is a symbol, it symbolizes different things at different points of the novel Identify the crucial quotes that discuss the Green Light in The Great Gatsby Create a timeline of the light Chart on the timeline how the light changes over the course of the novel. Label each point as the chapter in which it is discussed. Under the points put one quote from where the light is discussed. Above the points, give a one sentence explanation of what the light represents at that point in the novel. After you finish your timeline, discuss why the Green Light is perhaps one of the most important and identifiable symbols from literature.
