8 Ecosystems provide a wide array of goods and services
Ecosystem Services Ecosystems provide a wide array of goods and services of value to people Two major distinctions here. 1) multiple values, 2) benefits to people. Fundamentally an anthropocentric framework. What is in it for us? Another key focus: long-term. 8

9 Dream- for any given action, suite of changes to ecosystem and the impacts on human well-being.

11 The overall framework that my research contributes to is this presented in Daily et al In which ecosystem service values are incorporated into decision-making, ultimately leading to more informed decisions. As Daily and collegues describe in this paper, we have come along way in the science of linking ecosystems, services, and values, but more is needed. My research attempts to fill an important gap in our ability to establish these linkages for a set of services related to water quality. Daily et al. FEE 2009
