3 Impressive Effectiveness of Leadership and Management
Leaders know the faculty very well: strengths and areas for development Leaders have high expectations and a clear vision The tracking of student progress allows for timely and impactful intervention

4 Impressive Quality of Teaching, Learning and Assessment
Students are challenged to work independently and collaboratively, and to reach their full potential Staff have very high expectations of students: behaviour and engagement is excellent Students have an exceptionally good understanding of assessment criteria and how they can reach/surpass their target grade

5 Impressive Outcomes for Learners
Outcomes at KS4 and KS5 were excellent last year and current data looks hugely positive Systematic and relentless intervention has led to improvement in the data for current cohorts Deployment of TA’s and trainee teachers is having a positive impact on weaker students

6 Improve Effectiveness of leadership and management:
To continue to ensure that the clear vision is implemented across all Languages and is having an impact on student outcomes. To continue to embed the new curricula to successfully prepare students for the new GCSEs. To continue to provide support to individual staff to ensure that student experience is consistent across all disciplines.

7 Improve Quality of Teaching, Learning and Assessment:
Ensure that the rigour and high quality of teaching observed in the best lessons is present in all lessons, through the continued use of coaching and professional learning. Ensure that students are given time to engage with the written feedback they receive, so that they can make progress.

8 Improve Outcomes for Learners:
Continue to support the Spanish team to ensure that the Rapid Improvement Plan has a positive impact on student outcomes. Continue to implement outstanding range of interventions at KS4 and particularly KS5 and request support where needed. Continue to develop understanding of new GCSE curriculum and assessment in Years 9 and 10, to ensure that excellence is sustained.

9 Headline figures Current KS5 forecast (for 10 different IB subjects):
Based on the Mock results, 66% of students are on their ALIS target BUT: The mocks only make up 50% of final grade The other 50% are made up of written assignments and oral exams A rigorous intervention programme has been put into place: we expect students to make around 20% progress between mocks and final grades - we predict that about 86% of students will be on their ALIS target

12 Action Plan ( I Make Progress)
Targets Met: Rapid Improvement Plan in Spanish Year 13: based on RAGing students Individual and Generic Intervention Sessions in place positive outcome in oral exams IMP stamp raising awareness across Key Stages, moderation meeting scheduled for April Co-observation of lessons ongoing in the summer term. (CASSA meeting – HWI leading session on TL for new GCSE)
