American Society of Military Comptrollers Sandhills Chapter PO Box 71759 Fort Bragg, NC ISSUE February 22, 2012 President’s Message... Sadly, I have to announce that the Sandhills Chapter Mini-PDI is cancelled for this year. There are many factors that lead us to make this decision: - The lawyers determined our Mini-PDI to be a non-DoD Conference. As such, our members would be required to go through a tremendous administrative burden to gain approval to attend the event. - Army directed that training events should be limited to “mission-critical”. Our event is very important for our members: it provides continuing professional education credits, provides key networking opportunities, allows for CDFM testing, and provides corporate sponsors a venue to market their products. We had a great visit by the new National Executive Director for ASMC , Mr Al Runnells in January. We appreciate his support of the Chapter!
