Countries can be described in terms of level of development in regards to economic, social, environmental, political, and technological spheres.
Terms such as these are used to describe them:

8. Poverty – what is it?
The UN (United Nations) defines poverty as ‘a denial of choices and opportunities, a violation of human dignity… It means not having enough to feed and clothe a family, not having a school or clinic to go to, not having land on which to grow one’s food or a job to earn one’s living… It means susceptibility to violence, and it often implies living in marginal or fragile environments, without access to clean water or sanitation.’
Why is it easy to measure poverty, development or wellbeing based solely off economic indicators (think back to how we measure indicators)?
How do you think place (where we live) affects how impoverished, developed or well- off we are?
