1 Classical Conditioning

2 Classical Conditioning
Stimulus and response Stimulus A feature in the environment that is detected by an organism or that leads to a change in behavior Response An observable response to a stimulus Radio and song example Hear a song that causes a reaction from when it was popular

3 Conditioning Conditioning or Learning conditioning
A type of learning that involves stimulus-response connections, in which the response is conditional on the stimulus Classical conditioning A type of learning in which a neutral stimulus comes to elicit an unconditioned response when that neutral stimulus is repeatedly paired with a stimulus that normally causes an unconditioned response

4 Ivan Pavlov Russian physiologist
Did not intended to find out about responses Used meat induce saliva and was studying digestive system

5 Letters of learning Unconditioned Conditioned Unconditioned stimulus
Stimulus that causes a response that is automatic NOT LEARNED Unconditioned response UR Natural response because of biology Conditioned response CR Learned response to a stimulus that was previously neutral Conditioned stimulus CS & Neutral stimulus Repeated association with something the it becomes a learned stimulus

Feel ill after eating something Could be spoiled, so you stay away from it Often unhealthy or poisonous foods can cause, and will keep us away from them.
