3 Introduction (The Assignment)
In 2014, KUFPEC announced available secondment positions in the Chevron operated Wheatstone LNG Project to all K-Company employees as part of their ongoing Technology Transfer initiative and international working experience through them (KUFPEC). The main goal of this initiative was to provide an opportunity of technology transfer and expand individual experience by working on a major LNG project in a real position (not training assignment).

4 Introduction (Nature of Work and Location)
The job is 28/28 rotational basis (4 weeks on/4 weeks off) – 12 hours shifts. Location: Wheatstone Downstream Business Unit which is located in Onslow, Western Australia (1,400 km From Perth). Challenges: 1- Working in a remote region 2- New working culture

Perform system walk-downs and inspections of vessels, pumps alignments, compressors alignments, etc. Source lessons learnt from other major projects (Gorgon, Angola). Support Commissioning & Operations by addressing technical queries and requests raised by them. 1- lessons learnt example: welding issues in Gorgon, Compressor issues 2- Support Commissioning & Operations by addressing technical queries raised by them: example of vessel and filters

9 Achievements (Safety)
Pneumatic Testing: Contributed to the finalization of the project’s pneumatic testing procedure by analysing alternatives, developing recommendation and then presenting the results to management. Volunteered to monitor the first extremely large pneumatic test on the jetty lines (export and vapor return) during night shifts. This was a very high risk activity however it gave me the opportunity to provide monitoring of the procedures and ensure compliance during the test. 1- Talk about different opinions between Client and Contractor – Alignment with all stakeholders 1- Applying the skills that I’ve gained while working in KNPC.

Resolved  and addressed many critical technical issues and queries by providing robust and reliable engineering solutions in a timely manner.

12 Achievements (General)
Assisted with the successful transfer of engineering authority from Houston office to site (3rd Quarter – 2015). Received extension request of 6 months from Chevron to stay in the Mechanical role till mid-2017  to assist with completing the scope of work and also to have the opportunity to gain more commissioning and start-up experience.

13 Way Forward Australia: Kuwait:
