What does a Bibliographical reference look like? How can I tell if a website is reliable? Using EasyBib to create a Bibliography

3 How can I tell if my website is reliable?
On Moodle, there is a document called “Website Reliability.” Read through this document. It is important for your Bibliographies. A website may be reliable if: The Author is named Historical Evidence is used to support information on the website The information correlates (matches up) with information from other sources The website is part of an educational institution (i.e. “.edu”)

5 Logging in: 1. Create an EasyBib account.
2. Fill out your details ( & password):

6 Note If you do not want to create an EasyBib account, you can use this site instead by copying and pasting each reference you create into a word document (instead of building a project list on the website).

7 Create a New Project 3. Click on to begin a new project
4. Fill out the details of your new project.

8 5. Select the project. Click “bibliography.”

6. For a website, select “website”. Post the URL to your website into the box.

13 Citing a book Select “Book.” Type the name of the book into the box.

14 Citing a book Any book by that title will show up in the results. Select the one that you are using by clicking “Cite This.”

17 Building your list Your citation is automatically formatted and added to your list. Continue the process to build your works cited. Once finished, export it to a Word Document to use in your assignment.

18 Note If you did not create an account at the start, that is ok. You need to copy and paste each reference you create into a word document one-by-one, not just at the end.
