4 Graduation requirements
English/Language Arts Must take Ninth Grade Literature and American Literature All four must be Literature Courses 4 Credits Mathematics Support Courses will not count as Math Credits Must take Algebra I, Geometry, and Algebra II Science Must take Biology Must take Physical Science or Physics Must take either Chemistry, Environmental Science, Earth Systems, or an AP or IB course Social Studies Georgia only requires half credits in American Government and Economics Douglas County Schools teaches a whole credits Transfer students may only have half credits and we will not make them take another half Must take World History and US History CTAE, Foreign Language, and/or Fine Arts 3 Credits Health and Personal Fitness Taught as half credits One course per semester 1 Credit Other Electives Total Credits 23

12 What is a 4 x 4 schedule? 4 x 4 schedule gives students 8 courses over the course of a year, but they take 4 classes per semester. The first set of 4 classes is from August to December. The second set of 4 classes is from January to May. Each semester gives student final grades at the end of the semester. EOCs would be taken at the end of the semester.
