4 How many of you are familiar with how to get to the Online Performance Evaluation Tool?
As a refresher….. From the Employee.wpcarey home Page select the “Performance Management” tab, “Staff”, then “Online Performance Evaluation Tool”. This is the home page for the Online Performance Evaluation where you can find many resources including Due Dates, updates to the tool, definitions of the core expectations, and information on completing your self evaluation. 5 Creating an evaluation
This is where you can see the ongoing status of open evaluations as well as view any completed evaluations. All new evaluations are listed under “Open Evaluations” in the left hand grid. All evaluations finished, in the past or current, are listed under “Completed Evaluations” in the right hand grid. This is your Manage Evaluations home page. Under the Tool Navigation, make sure that the Manage Evaluation tab is highlighted and you will see this page. This is where you can see the ongoing status of open evaluations as well as view any completed evaluations. All new evaluations will be listed under the “Open Evaluations” grid to the left. All evaluations that have been finished, in the past or current, will be listed under the “Completed Evaluations” grid to the right.

7 Navigating through the evaluation…
Evaluation Information- Here you will see the information for your employee. You can edit their working title, review type, and evaluation period if necessary. Communication and Action- This section will keep you updated on the progress of the evaluation, adding communications notes as you go along. You can also view the evaluation as a PDF and this is one of two places that you can select to “Send to Employee for Review.” Previous Evaluations- Here you will have easy access to all old evaluations for the employee. Job Description- This tab is for you to store the complete job description. You can refer back to this section at any time to copy and paste the relevant content into each core. Refer to a past evaluation or the job code assigned to the job title. Core Sections- 7 core sections or 8 if the employee is a supervisor Performance Goals- Progress of past or ongoing goals in addition to new goals for the year

8 Content & Ratings Core sections: Expand each core to enter content relevant to the core providing justification of the rating that you selected for that section.

9 Send to Employee for Review
Summary- Pulling the whole evaluation together and selecting an overall rating. When done, “Send to Employee for review”. --communication & action tab NOTE: You must select a rating for each core and an overall rating in order to continue. This is when you should schedule time for a one-on-one performance meeting.

This is a flow chart of the online communication process from start to finish. Now, we will take a closer look at the communication and how it works in the system.

11 Creating and Releasing the Evaluation
We just walked through the first step, which creating the employee’s online evaluation and release it to the employee for their review. Once you send it to the employee for their review, you as the supervisor will be copied on an sent to the employee asking them to review the content in preparation for the one-on-one meeting and then accept or decline the evaluation.

12 Employee Accepts When reviewing the evaluation the employee has the option to leave comments. If the employee accepts at this time, the evaluation will be marked as completed and further edits can not be made by the supervisor. As the supervisor, you will receive and letting you know that they have accepted the evaluation as is.

13 Employee Declines If the employee declines the evaluation, you will also receive an letting you know that they did not accept it at this time. By now, you should have your one-on-one scheduled with the employee to discuss the evaluation.

14 Final Evaluation After your discussion with the employee, you can now edit the evaluation as necessary and then send it back one more time to the employee for their review. Again, they will receive an notifying them that it is ready for their acknowledgement. Once they acknowledge, you will get an notification and the evaluation status will be changed to complete.
