2. Today… Highlight EFTS activities Future plans

Today, I’ll spend a few minutes telling you what we’ve been doing, our plans for the next year and then, I’d like to hear any suggestions, comments or questions you might have.

As you can see…
There were 747 participants among the eight NN/LM regions.

4. From these two maps, we’ve come a long way and membership is still growing.

5. The potential IS still there
The potential IS still there. Each bar represents total DOCLINE membership by region. The green portion is EFTS members in each region, the orange are potential members. We realize we’ll never reach 100% but we’re always working to add new members! Which is a good thing because…

6. As you can see, transaction numbers are decreasing
As you can see, transaction numbers are decreasing. This is the full year 2009.

7. This is 2010 year to date. This chart represents a 4% decrease in transactions.

8. I hope everyone looks at the EFTS homepage—especially the blog, “EFTS News Ticker” for important messages about: Back billing etiquette and Error Log cleanup. We have also added the ROI chart for lending. The banner now announces the latest membership number, currently There is now an informational link to promotional items on the left menu.

9. During the year Jola Sliwinski, EFTS Program Coordinator, has been giving webinars in various regions which have been well received. Region 4 was able to offer 1 CEU and there 80 participants in the most recent session. The result=new members! Another exciting initiative was the brainstorming session we held via teleconference in August. We had 10 participants from 5 regions and had a lively discussion and some good ideas on how to promote EFTS. In addition we have our semi-annual Advisory Committee meeting which also generates ideas for improving or marketing EFTS. Unfortunately, travel is limited because of the expense but we will travel to MLA, NAHSL and next spring to a new opportunity—the ILLiad annual meeting in Virginia.

10. Request: Check Withdrawal
Some new and upcoming things: We offer quarterly redistributions for net lenders but now you can ask for a “withdrawal on demand”, at any time, by using the “Request: Check withdrawal” link from the left menu once you’ve logged in to your member account. The bookmark we’ve developed is informational and also a coupon for a credit a new member can use. We suggest including the bookmark with any invoice you send out to encourage membership. As Steve progresses with conversion of the database we look forward to improvements in the “Reports” function. We’ll also be adding more information about what’s been processed overnight on your member message page and we’ll be adding an online suggestion box.

11. This is a representation of Steve’s work converting the EFTS database and functions to a new platform. He has completed the Data Access Layer and the Business Logic Layer, has extensively tested and is beginning work on the Presentation Layer, which is the “look” of EFTS. This is an exciting time for us since our homepage is so outdated.

We hope by this time next year that we’ll have a whole new look!
