Ms excel 2013 for teachers Excel 2013 is a spreadsheet program that allows you to store, organize, and analyse information.

When you open Excel 2013 for the first time, the Excel Start Screen will appear. From here, you'll be able to create a new workbook, choose a template, and access your recently edited workbooks. From the Excel Start Screen, locate and select Blank workbook to access the Excel interface.

Every worksheet is made up of thousands of rectangles, which are called cells.
A cell is the intersection of a row and a column. Columns are identified by letters (A, B, C), while rows are identified by numbers (1, 2, 3).

Each cell has its own name—or cell address—based on its column and row
Each cell has its own name—or cell address—based on its column and row. In the example below, the selected cell intersects column C and row 5, so the cell address is C5. The cell address will also appear in the Name box. Note that a cell's column and row headings are highlighted when the cell is selected

Save the workbook as exam one.

To get total score for the first pupil James chege in cell H2 Type equal sign (=) click on cell C2, type Plus sign(+) then click on D2 + click on E2 +F2 + G2 Press the enter key when done

To get total score for the other pupils;
Position the mouse at the corner of cell H1 until you the cross Hold down the left mouse button and drag downwards to the last pupil

You have copied the formula to the rest of the
other cells hence the totals done for you!
