The Vietnam Veterans Memorial in Washington, D.C., was designed to recognize the service and sacrifice of all who served in Vietnam. There are 58,272 names engraved in a marble wall. It is simply designed and black in color.

The Korean War Veterans Memorial is in the shape of a triangle intersecting a circle. Nineteen stainless steel sculptures stand silently under the watchful eye of a sea of faces upon a granite wall. There is also a Pool of Remembrance surrounded by trees and there are benches for visitors to sit on.

The National WWII Memorial honors the 16 million who served in the armed forces of the U.S. during World War II, the more than 400,000 who died, and the millions who supported the war effort from home. Situated between the Lincoln Memorial and Washington Monument, it includes 56 stone pillars arranged in a semi-circle and two arches on a plaza.
