2 TAPR Overview Due to changes in legislation, the performance report formerly known as the Academic Excellence Indicator System (AEIS) report is now the Texas Academic Performance Report (TAPR). AEIS was published from to Archived AEIS reports may be found on the AEIS Archives page through TEA. The TAPR provides information on the performance of students in each school and district in Texas. The reports also provide extensive information on school and district staff, programs, and student demographics. A hearing for public discussion of the annual report must be held within 90 calendar days, excluding winter holidays, from November 16, 2017.

3 New for 2017 STAAR Performance Level Descriptors (all grades and subjects) — STAAR results are categorized as Approaches Grade Level, Meets Grade Level, or Masters Grade Level. Inclusion of 2016 STAAR Data — STAAR data for 2016 is included to allow for direct comparisons of 2016 to The 2015–16 TAPR included only one year of data. Participation Rates — STAAR participation data for 2016 is included to allow for comparisons of to 2017. Please see page 27 of the 2017 Accountability Manual for more information about the new performance level descriptors--

The performance section of the TAPR shows STAAR performance in different ways: By grade level, subject, and student group All grades / EOC subjects STAAR Percentage at Approaches, Meets, and Masters Grade Level Standard The TAPR Glossary provides definitions, describes methodologies, and lists sources for each data point in the TAPR.

8 Performance Overview In 2017, Lamar CISD is an Accredited, Met Standard district. Campuses received a combined total of 76 Distinction Designations Hubenak and Taylor Ray earned all possible designations and are in the top ~5% of Texas public schools that have achieved that honor. Austin, Dickinson, Campbell, and Frost earned all but one possible designations and are in the top ~15% of Texas public schools that have achieved that honor. Terry High School earned its first designation for Student Progress All campuses earned a rating of Met Standard

Texas statute (TEC e) requires every district to include with its TAPR a report on student performance in postsecondary institutions during the first year enrolled after graduation from high school. The report includes: Number of Total Graduates, disaggregated by attendance in Institutes of Higher Education Number of Students within each GPA reporting band
